When dogs get caught up in legal cases, they are often heated, with emotions running high from both sides of the case. It is essential that courts are given a thorough analysis of why dogs behave in certain ways, and why these may be considered "dangerous". My background as an academic in a forensic subject provides me with the investigative and observational skills required to provide a complete analysis. This, combined with my understanding of dog behaviour at the highest level, allows me to assess dogs of all breeds and backgrounds in term of their behaviour.
I am a Clinical Animal Behaviourist with the APBC and working towards my Expert Witness Accreditation with the ABTC for already working experts. I predominantly work as a behaviour consultant working with pet dogs, rescue dogs and working dogs. I also have a Masters degree in Forensic Linguistics which prepared me in complex report writing and many areas of expert witness testimony.
I also provide assessments for councils and adoption agencies looking to place children in homes with resident dogs.
